The image shows the Project tab, so it's the Pro version.

And Artist is a 32-bit app. No 64-bit plugins. Plus, you need an add-on to use VST plugins in Artist.

Really so it has to be professional then to play my 64 bit plugs ...I was looking at the artist/notion bundle for £171 at presonus

64-bit plugins work fine in Artist with the paid plugin add-on.

Really? Without JBridge? PreSonus documentation specifically says that 32-bit plugins won't work in 64-bit S1 and 64-bit plugins won't work in 32-bit S1.

What makes you think there isn't a 64-bit version of Presonus Artist? The audio-processing resolution is 32 floating-point in Artist though.

Maxima mea culpa.

My thoughts as well Chuck,, it's like, why panic, Sonar will work for a long time yet so.. . start kicking the tires? yes, but hang on to your money and once you do choose a DAW wait for a deal .. There's always a way to get what you want cheap.
Example, I bet if you purchase a PreSonus mixer or interface you get the software free.
That's what I will look into as the ProSonus mixers intigrate seemlessly with the DAW. Something Sonar never had.

Is that feature available yet? I love PS1 great product but so also is Sonar.

Good point, if you buy the Faderport 8 it comes with S1 Artist, and then you can upgrade at https://www.audiodeluxe.com/ for $125.98 with their FALL2017 coupon code.

Alternatively, the S1+Notion bundle is $190 in cart too.

Maybe not as long as you might think if you are on Windows 10 and have updates enabled. If you are on a previous version of Windows, 7 or 8, or disable updates if you are on Windows 10 you might last longer, but then you could eventually run into other Hardware/Software/ Driver issues. If SONAR was my main DAW, I would be disabling updates now (which I have for a long time anyway)

Biggest issue for me with Studio One - and the key reason I recently purchased Sonar - is that Studio One does not support SysEx in any way, shape or form. It makes working with many hardware synths that rely heavily on SysEx for parameter automation impossible.

Yeah true, I got rid my external hardware years ago so that hasn't been a problem for me.

I caution people to not get sucked in to people toting new DAWs right now. I’m sure other software developers are circling this forum like sharks right now seeing users scurrying for something new. Not saying that was the purpose of the OP but I’m going to look long and hard before I invest my money and more importantly. My TIME.

yeah, that was the thing that got me  - the surprise x1 interface - "but it's just like learning a new app" said some (particular) regulars here - so for the first time since 1997 i actually demo'd other daws and STUDIO ONE just ticked all the right boxes, so i got a 2nd hand version, and since then i've never even had to read the manual it's so intuitive, and (and!) it has never crashed once, ever (ever!) - but then (like bitwig, altho i've not used that) it is a genuine 2nd generation daw, like a breath of fresh air, not just the latest version of an ancient one
seriously, anyone familiar with daws should be able to just use s1 "out of the box"

. . . more importantly. My TIME.

Definitely.   I do think the timing of this -- right before Black Friday -- makes this particularly hard though as it creates an additional pressure on people to save money.
