Thanks so much for the quick responses, family! This is one of the most AWESOME forums on the Internet!! I started doing audio/midi music production back in 1992. My Dad was teaching at San Diego City College and I went to visit him one day(probably to borrow some money

). I walked by a classroom and saw a bunch of Roland U-220 keyboards with Macintosh computers "somehow" hooked up to each other. The software was Opcode's Vision(with the BEST midi implementation I've ever come across!) and I fell in love at first sight. In 2005, I got a deal on a pc computer and bought it even though I had a Mac G4 at the time. When Mac went from Os 9 to 10, I could no longer use Vision. I panicked at first, but somewhere along the way, it became easier to get plugins for the PC platform anyway, so I switched. I tried Cubase on the PC with a Event Gina but I kept getting pops and crackels. I then tried Sonar, had no issues, and have been with Sonar ever since.
I really see no reason to have multiple versions of Sonar on my computer because I'll ONLY use the latest one and I'm kinda anal about redundant or unnecessary files. Are there any issues with uninstalling X1 and then installing X2? Seems like my Beatscape should still work. What do you think?
On my current computer, when I installed X1, I had to do some tweaking with DimPro to get it to work because I was getting that error. So I'm really just wanting to reinstall it just to "clean" everything up since they've fixed the error. What do you think?
Smart move to list patch names, Bristol_Jonesey! I will backup first no matter what I decide to do, CakeAlexS!
Thanks again, fam.
