My Pc has died so am getting a new one :(

Also, I am absolutely sick to death of M-Audio and their ropey drivers for Win 7 Ultimate 64bit........

I am now about to take the plunge into a new primary card and selling on my Delta1010....

I was looking at the Roland Octa capture.... Any fellow Cakies out their running this card with X2?

Any Problems?

Its either that or I'm gonna go down the MOTU MK2048.....

What version of Sonar are you running? Any Driver lock up / release issues?

Win 7 64 bit?

I use 2 Edirol UA-101 together, and have no problems with X2 (and Win 7 / 64).

The UA-101 is discontinued ; a friend of mine use an Octacapture with X2, and is very happy with it (note that you can eventually use 2 Octacapture together).

Yup, this is a bonus for me in using two together *eventually*

Just need to know about the drivers before I take the plunge......

The issue of SonarDPR.EXE crashing and not releasing the drivers with the Delta 1010 has actually caused my so much headaches and time that I even considered going down that awful route of a Mac and PT (Dont scream at me, I am still here and I love Sonar too much!!)

For 64bit, MOTU and RME have greatest drivers. I never used a Roland card, so i cant say anything about those

I too sold my delta1010 and bought an octa capture. Much better soundcard, haven't had any major problems as of yet but when sonar does crash on occasion the sonarDPR.exe problem can still rear it's ugly little head. I'm not sure that its been confirmed by cake that soundcard drivers cause this event to happen, but I could be wrong, because it usually happens if I try and do something whilst audio is playing. Not very often mind.
Bottom line is... I don't think you would regret the Roland.

I should have added that I went from a Delta 66 > MOTU Track16.
