  • Win8 and X2: now not drawing audio waveforms?

over the weekend I took the plunge with Win8 x64 with a clean install.
everything works aside from a few hassles with maschine and a fantom xr drivers. now they are fine.
anyway.
now I see that Sonar won't draw the audio waveforms while recording or if I select "draw selected waveforms". where the drawing should be, theres just a flat line.

any ideas?

I had this on my windows 7 machine with X2.  Right click on the waveforms and select rebuild. Once I had done that I didn't have any problems.

HTH.

Double check that your Playback Timing master is set to something under preferences. If it's not SONAR won't draw the waveforms.

StinGA--- already did this (see description) and this didn't work either. done it multiple times.

"Playback Timing" checked/changed and still not working.

You could try clearing the picture cache

Are you running SONAR as administrator?

I've selected/de-selected View->Display->Show clip contents on/off.

also did a "select all" and tried to rebuild/redraw all of the waveforms.
also changed my directory for writing picture files.
