Remove Windows legacy firewire driver (put it back to the default as latest mix control does not need it) and install Saffire mix control 3. Make sure you uninstall the previous version of mix control and reboot first.

I have tried several times to search my X1 manual, still doesn't work. Maybe i have an issue with my version of Adobe.

Actually you do a FIND. CTRL-F and then type in what you want to find.

unfortunately I get these white screens even though I'm running 64bit Sonar, so (for me) this is not the problem.. =/
I also get the white screen sometimes just by selecting a bus and then going back and selecting a track. :(

And I think if there's an error on the disk, Sonar X1 would crash as well. I still have X1 installed and it's much more stable than X2.

It's a Sonar X2 issue

I've had about five or six crashes of X2 Producer. I still have X1 Producer Expanded installed as it takes Registry editing to completely remove it. Someone from Cakewalk Support has been helping. One of his suggestions was to delete the AUD.INI file, Empty the Recycle Bin, and then fire up X2 again. I still got a crash. There is no pattern to these crashes other than that I know that sometimes clicking the Master channel in the Console view will trigger a white screen. I've had crashes inserting soft synths in X2 that I didn't have with X1. Hopefully we'll see a patch some time in the next 30 days.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I write this, but I have gone from 25 white-outs a day with X2 to none since yesterday morning...and I'm trying to figure out exactly what changed.  I froze a few more tracks in my current project, and I changed a Windows setting to "Adjust for Best Appearance" in the Performance Options tab of Win7 (this makes no sense to me since "adjust for best performance" seems like the more logical choice).

But whatever... It's running MUCH better today, and all synths, plugins, options, screenshots, and so forth are working glitch-free.

I suggest not changing the default desktop manager performance settings in Windows since some UI features in X2 may not work properly with those turned off currently.

Yeah, I've also got several crashes in 2-3 days. I ran X1 on the same machine, and this was rock solid. I unistalled X1 prior to X2.

My crashes seem to occur when closing FXs in the FX bin but also on other occasions.

I have a dedicated desktop for my DAW:
Sonar X2 Producer (64 bit)
Windows 7 (64 bit)
Intel i7 3770K 3.5 GHz
16 GB RAM (1600Mhz)
256 GB SSD (OS/DAW/VSTs)
Sounds/samples/Projects on two dedicated HHD.

As several has reported crashes, I guess the team at CW will come with an update. I think they addressed issues like this quicker since the X1 release.
