Sonar X1 is freezing on playback. I have 10-12 tracks recorded. A screen/message appears which says that I experienced a dropout. I go to the folder to try and change the buffer size, but the settings to adjust the buffer size are grayed out. I have never altered the default settings for buffers, latency, etc.
 
Second question (less important): on playback the Pan knob is not affecting the sound field of the track. If I pan hard right or left, the volume of the track simply diminishes a bit, but no stereo separation.
 
 
 

Default settings are just that, Default setting. You should always find the right driver settings for you. so,me projects may need more resources than others, so having one driver setting may not be optimal. 

Just experiment and find what works for that project. more than likely, youll have to raise your ASIO buffers or move your WDM slider to the right.


For your pan question, you may have recorded a mono track on a stereo track or you may have an interleave set wrong or it could be a send or bus or one or all of the above

2. I did record mono tracks, but I did not record in stereo. What is interleave?
