I'm currently testing out Cakewalk SONAR X2 Producer. My case is that I want to quantize a recording of songs from my band's rehersal. We're drifting a bit in tempo, and I want to adjust this to a certain tempo. How is this possible to do? I've meddled with AudioSnap for a couple of hours now, but I'm no closer. I'm able to set markers manually (setting markers automatically on a mixed recording doesn't work very well). But when having e.g. three markers A, B and C, and moving marker B, it seems I'm only compressing the audio between A and B, and stretching the audio between B and C, or vice versa. I want it so that when I'm moving a marker, the audio to the left is compressed or stretched according to the marker before, and the audio to the right is just moved accordingly. This way I could work my way through the recording, adjusting the audio so that it fits the metronome clicks.
Can someone please tell me if what I'm trying to do is even possible, and how I can do this? Or if there is a smarter way to do this than the way I'm proposing...?
