I have a song where none of the clips will split (further)
Most of them have been split in the past. Just now they won't. (doing some detailed V-Vocal)
I use Alt/click but now it just selects the track instead of splitting.
I have also tried "T" and choosing the split too but no joy.
I can choose the whole clip and v-vocal works fine but why no splitting all of a sudden?
It's on all trax

I've had that issue a few times and find its worse in take lanes. 

I usually find if I select a different take, then reselect the one I want it will work. 
It's quite irritating and I hope they fix it in the next update.

I apologize. I've only had that problem in X2.  Didn't realize we were talking about X1

I did try bouncing the clip first.

Check that the cursor is in the correct mode.  Tracks too.

Can you elaborate a bit GH?
I don't change modes on tracks and cursor unless it's by accident

Have you tried selecting the track, putting the timeline marker where you want to split then pressing "S"?

I've given up doing splits any other way because it's too much fiddle faddle and more often than not I screw it up (or Sonar does... not sure which).

If that doesn't work maybe the tracks are frozen or something. I have yet to use V-Vocal but I seem to recall others mention it will do something that makes certain tasks no longer available. I could be wrong on that though.

I think GH is talking about the edit filter. If it's set to transients or automation you can't edit clips.
