I might be missing something simple but is there a way to open the Synth Properties window directly from the instrument track it is associated with (Sonar 8.5)?  It seems like there currently is an unnecessary disconnect.  That is, I have to separately open the Synth Rack window, find the appopriate soft synth that is associated with the desired instrument track, and then double-click it to open the Synth Properties.  If this is the case, why can't I just double-click something on the instument track to go right to the Synth Properties window?

Thanks! I suspected it was something simple but not obvious to me.  In my defense I get a strange "north/south arrow" cursor when hovering over this little icon.

You might have selected a different action cursor or what ever they call them,,, make sure your using the "select" cursor which is the default. Do it all the time myself.. It should be the one at  the farthest left in the tool bar.
