This is good news, dowloading now.

Must have been a "soft" rollout of the update.  Just got my email announcement.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, so nice to not see a Bitbridge icon on the UAD plugin windows.

There's definitely something weird with this UAD thing for me. I'm going to go back to 6.3 for now because I don't have the time to mess with this. Here's what I'm getting with 6.4.

The installer installs both 32 bit and 64 bit plugs. It doesn't give you a place to install 64 plugs and goes to your program files/steinberg/vst folder. I don't keep anything in there, so I just moved them out of there and into my Cake/vst_64 folder.

Sonar 32 bit:
In projects using the 1176 SE, it crashes Sonar every time since the update.
The plug loads if you manually load it, but as soon as you touch it or change the order it's in, Sonar crashes.

Sonar 64:
The project that crashes in 32 bit works in 64 without a problem using this same plug. However, when the project loads, it tells me the plug CLSID does not match the version it was saved with and gives me a drop down menu to select the 64 bit version. The menu gives me ok, cancel and a drop down. If I click ok without selecting anything, the plug works and it's the 64 bit version. If I click the drop down menu and click on the other options (the 64 version destination) it works and loads the 64 bit plug also. If I click cancel, it fails to load the plug.

I've tried this without altering the UAD 64 plug directory leaving it in the Steinberg folder...same thing happens.

I've not tested all the plugs, but the 1176 not loading up right in a 32 bit project I'm using for a client is enough for me to go back to 6.3.

I have uninstalled 6.4, deleted all files and folders, went into the registry and deleted everything UAD, re-installed and I'm still having this issue. So back to 6.3 I go. Hopefully nothing bad happened here to where it cripples me going back. I hope you guys are having better luck than me. I bet if I gank the 32 bit 1176 SE .dll and add it to this new install, it will work fine. They must have forgotten something there. I just don't have the time to go through all the plugs to see if they work right now to be sure if that's the only one. Those of you that have it, give it a try and see if your 1176 crashes within a saved project or during a drag move.

This happens in 32 bit Sonar only though...it's perfect in 64 other than if you load up a project from a 32 bit Sonar save...it just gives me the CLSID question, but everything is working really well from what I can tell in 64.

Heh, soft 'rollout'...
That's like stepping in dog-doo and pretending like it never happened...

6.4 installed the 32 bit plugins to my VST folder located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\VST\Powered Plugins folder. The 64 bit plugins went into C:\Program Files\Universal Audio\Powered Plugins\UAD2-Powered Plugins. I went into Sonar X1 and deleted the location for 32 bit plugins and added the 64 bit file location and rescanned. All is working fine.

I found that I had to mover my 32 bit versions previously installed to another location out of the scan path.  For some reason, they were picked up and used by SONAR instead of the 64 bit versions.
