Thanks to FastBikerBoys' video on ACT, I have finally made progress getting ACT to work with my Keystation Pro.  However, I am still having a problem nbb .  After spending a fair amount of time assigning controls to a couple of virtual synths (Omnisphere and Moog V), I find that I can get them to work pretty well like I want them.  The problem is, that they lose all the control assignments after I close Sonar.  I was under the impression that ACT controls would stay with a given plugin, even in different projects.  My assignments do stay with the plugins and in different projects, as long as I don't shut down Sonar.  After restarting Sonar, I have lost the ACT assignments, even if I load a project that I saved with the assignments.  Is this the way it is intended to work ?  Is there a place where you can save these controls assignments for individual plugins ?  Or is my installation just working incorrectly ?

Hope someone can help with this.

By the way, this is in X2 and everything else is working just fine on this end.

Thanks
Ron

Are you trying to make adjustments to Moog or Omnisphere while they are in the background? or when they are in focus (meaning the virtual instrument screen is in front of everything? When you pull up ACT, does it show "tracks" assignment or "instrument" assignment. It may be a matter of bringing the instrument into focus and telling ACT to focus on it.

Thanks for the reply Travis, but unfortunately that is not the problem.  So are you telling me that the assignments are supposed to stay  assigned for other projects ?  Do they work for you that way ?  If that is the case, then I am doing something wrong or something is wrong with my Sonar installation and I need to figure it out.  I still have X1 and 8.5 on my computer, so I will try with them and see what happens.

Does anyone know where the act assignments are stored on the hard drive?

Thanks
Ron
