New computer forced me to upgrade to Sonar X2 studio.
Installed it last night and got it running smoothly. I had no problem opening old projects (minus some missing VSTs) and Sonar samples for tutorials. Sounds good and looks nice.
Opened Sonar today and have no audio.
It goes through the loading audio data routine but in the track lane where a waveform should be is a solid colored bar with (busy) written next to the recording take.
I opened the same tutorial project I opened last night, same thing. Busy written above audio tracks and none of the soft synths produce sounds. Midi is there and the time line scrolls along but there is silence.

I did install my Tranzport today and got it working. Thought that might be the cause so I uninstalled it and did a restart. No change.

Any ideas out there?

NEVER MIND> USER ERROR!!!!

When I first opened Sonar today I did so with the interface off. This caused Sonar to automatically change my 'playback timing master' to 'none' and didn't revert to the interface when I did a resart with the interface on.

Sorry to waste your time.

No need to apologize for an honest mistake.  It would only have been a waste of time if you had not acknowledged the mistake. :)

I GOTS to know - what happens to the cat in your profile pic - did that guy fire 5 or 6 times?  In all the excitement, I kind of forgot.  If the cat's name were Punky, I would think that with 9 lives he would feel lucky.
