is there a way to set the default to 24/48 on sonar x2 and have it remember this every time i switch and open new songs? or am i stuck opening the m-audio preferences before every single song project? i am also finding it very tricky to find a good recording settings, one that doesn't drop out and one that doesn't have too much delay when i click echo for laying down vocals? any suggestions? i find my self trying to use 48000-24bit-1024 with about 512. but even this setting doesn't always work. 96,000-24bit-2048 has way to much delay to record at. while 48000-24 bit- 256 drops out as soon as i hit record. win 7-64 bit, asus i5, 2 tb, 1 tb external, 2 - delta 1010 sonar x1,x2 64 bit,32 bit sound forge, cd architect 32 bit

that's what i do, but every time i start a new cakewalk song or project, the sound card defaults back to 96-24. so before each song loading, i must click out of cakewalk, open m-audio, change deltas back to 24-48, then open sonar x2. funny thing is every time i open sonar it says 24-96000 up at the top in the sky blue box. doesn't matter if the sound card is on 24-48 or not. so i click prefferences and change it or make sure it's still on 24-48 and click apply, x out, and it still says 24-96000 in the sky blue box??? can't figure it out. \ hey rob what do you record at? and what do you mix and play at? what settings?

I use the m-audio delta 66, and have no trouble running at 24-96000 (3.4 second round-trip latency). If you want a new project to start with 48 sample rate there is a preferences setting under audio-driver settings where you set "default setting for new projects"

Using my ASIO driver, the soundcard responds to this value whenever I change it. When Sonar is restarted, and a new project is created, it always starts with the value set-up in "default setting for new projects" . This setting is relayed to the soundcard.
