On second thought, no... I love MIDI! Atari ST and Dr.T's KCS (along with keyboard and modules) is what got me started.

...one hell of a sketchy command and wire protocol. In midi's defense, everyone else doing serial protocols for devices in those days were just as dodgy. We've come a long way.
