Yep, if it works for you and you're happy, why change? Who cares if people call you a Luddite? The original Luddites would think they had landed on another planet if they saw your setup.

Saw Michael is also hanging onto win XP.

Real tragedy for me anticipating forward. Have a rock solid XP 32 bit rig, quad core with a 1010 LT M-Audio card. Does everything with elegance and grace.

Could go on forever with it, but more and more softwares and updates are pushing me into a corner, on top of the inevitable computer meltdown.

Then having to give up a dynamite sound card because new computers don't have the old PCI slots.

Don't know if there are many others clinging to XP and sense pending doom. Could be worse. Read an article  4 years ago about some guy with a $5k PCI card that was soon to be obsolete with the death of PCI slots.

Is That the one with Denzel and John Goodman? If so, it is a really good movie.

Actually, I'm hanging on to Windows 7. I just understand and sympathize with the sentiment. I guess the trick is knowing what is a real, beneficial upgrade, and what is just "upgrading-to upgrade." And that is obviously different for everyone.
