Explaining this thread to my wife.
Me: It's funny, that's all. You know? Farting is... well, it's just funny.
My wife: It's disgusting.
Me: Well, yeah. Sure it's that, but it's ...funny disgusting, right?
My wife: Hm.
Me: You gotta admit that video was pretty darn funny. Right? Don't you think?
My wife: So they were recording flatulence? I don't understand that.
Me: It's funny!! Well, sure people wouldn't really do that but...dammit it's just funny! The whole concept is funny.
My wife: It's not funny.
Me: Sure it is. You don't see the humor? Big time engineer recording a guy farting into a microphone? (And here my conviction starts to slip) And, uh, they have to record this guy about 800 times. You know, make it, ummm, more realistic?
My wife (staring at me): And that's funny?
Me (shrugging): Yeah.
My wife (leaving the room): What's funny and a little sad is that men just don't grow up.
Me: Well it WAS funny until I had to explain it!!
