BTW...

For anyone interested in it... It seems to be pretty good at what it does. It's characteristics allowed me to easily increase the apparent volume of a track by 5db with very little perceived compression effect. I'll certainly play with it some more but it might just be an easy 2db booster to add to a mastering on a shoestring...

Check it out. It's free! Simply go to  http://www.waves.com/ and open an account (free). There's a button right on the homepage to get the whole sign up/download happening...

It might be handy to have around...?

I have been trying for days to get this plug. I registered, they sent me a confirmation assuring me that I'd have my download link in 48 hours, then when it came along with the serial number, it claimed not to recognize the very email I'd registered with (the one they sent the freaking confirmation to). So I registered with that email again, and it took me to a page where I entered the serial number, which it accepted, then took me to a link to download V9 (or whatever it is), and in the process asked me which Waves software I wanted to download. There was no free Louder knob in the list, just a demo of the whole OneKnob package.

I know ther server has been very busy as we all downlaod this.

There are two parts of the installer, you have to scroll right down to find the individual knobs.  It threw me at first.  There are several sub-directories to choose from, and it is in there.  Took me a while to suss where it was.  Can't remember exactly where of the top of my head.  May have a look later.

You could easily check for yourself exactly what it's doing - do an export, pre & post "knob", import them into your project and compare waveforms.

I got this offer late last week. I used the OneKnob on a drum bus and it does a really nice job.

Yeah,after finally using it,it's well,pretty usable!

I was in the middle of trying to remix this "thing" Iv'e had for a while, and the serial no. for it[Tony Belmont,at Gearslutz, posted the link]turned up today, after I tried taking advantage of the free offer, and "it" was just what I needed to make an already loud lead guitar part, just that bit more over the top...I'm actually amazed I got a serial,as I totally blew Friday, but with the international time diff. and all,I must have just made it.
Iv'e promised myself "no more plugins" though.[for now at least!

Yes...

Their system is very confusing...

Use the v9 download link and it will then supply you with a list of their' available softwares... Simply select the One Knob Louder button and only that single software will download.... It took me an hour to figure this one...
