Hi, I deleted an audio track but it still plays where it would before I deleted it. It's not hidden behind another track, as I've muted all tracks individually. When I globally mute all tracks using the playback state toolbar the deleted track doesn't play, but if I mute all tracks one by one until all tracks are muted, the deleted track still plays. I have even gone into the audio folder and deleted all versions of the file and it still plays. Can't figure it out. Please help! Thanks- Dave

My first guess would be that you have a MIDI track triggering the MS Wavetable Synth.
Tell us more about your project.
Are you recording live audio?
Have you inserted and/or deleted soft synths?
Which version of Home Studio are you working with?
Are you starting with a default template?
What you are describing is odd, but probably has a simple explanation. We just need more information.

  • It's an audio only project, no midi or soft synths. No envelopes or automation, haven't gotten that far.
  • I'm using Sonar Home Studio 6.
  • I don't remember which template I started with, most likely the default although I have used a customer template that starts w/ two audio and two MIDI. In this project any MIDI tracks were deleted before I started recording.
  • I have tried freezing/unfreezing all tracks, even bouncing all audio tracks to clips and it doesn't take care of the issue.
Bizarre, or what?

It's not hidden behind another track

But could the track be otherwise hidden?
Press M on the computer keyboard to bring up the Track Manager. Make sure all the tracks are checked then click OK.
Are there any more tracks showing now?
And welcome to the forum.
