If you do not have the Concrete Limiter, you would get more use out of it than Chromaphone.

Oh definitely however I think the most important thing I need right now is a proper vocal condenser. My C01s are holding their own but they're just a little off sounding to me and I'd like something a little more natural. I think it was the AT 2025s I was looking at for vox. They're under a hundred bucks.

As for Chromophone, it is totally a physical modelling synth so it doesn't use any "content" of any kind, which is what makes it so cool IMO. All of its sounds are calculated on the fly. Owners of Tassman will probably say that you should just get that as it does the same and more, but I like the focus of Chromophone and I go to it for specific sounds even though I too have Tassman.

Sounds like you need other things first though so come back to Chromophone when you can afford it. I'm sure it will be discounted again at some time in the future.

I could REALLY use that Ozone package. The mastering stuff in Sonar is good but from the sounds of it Ozone blows all those tools away. *sigh* Maybe some day.

I'm holding out hope that there may be a SWEET deal on Ozone b4 the Saturnalia...
