I have an acoustic guitar track from someone else and the timing fluctuates slightly - is Audio Snap the right tool to tighten it up?

Should I cut the (long) clip into shorter workable sections? 

Is Audio Snap a manual operation, do I have to move every transient peak to the right place with the mouse? 

Is it going to be a horrible experience!? :)
