I am wondering if you can help me.

- problem
I tried to record midi notes into sonar x1 PE midi track real-time, from external equipment (korg padkontrol).
but occurs about 100ms latency all time.
Recording on tempo 120 bpm, all notes are behind by 32nd note.....

- environment
Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU AMD Phenom II 1065T
4GB RAM

- analysis
 * there are no latency, play any soft-synth directly from midi (without sonar).
 * other some midi equipments show same result. padKontrol has no problem.
 * sonar uses asio driver. i can record audio track with edirol audio-interface on very low latency (<10ms).
 * stopping all of background applications, no improvement.
 * go sonar preference and change many config(buffer, driver type, etc.), no improvement.

I believe the problem is sonar configuration. but i can't consider it any more by myself.

Check the buffer settings in asio. Try go get them down to 128. Also check the project to see if there are any plugins that use pdc (pre Delay Compensation) There is a pdc button in the toolbar of sonar click it and try to see if that helps also.

actually, i created new project file with only 1 synth track and tested. it improved so much.
i would be able to figure out by myself.
