but I'm sure I'd use it enough to make it worth the dough.

I'll assume you mean **not** sure you'd use it. It would of course depend on the type of music you want to produce. For me it is a good fit musically, I enjoy mangling electro-acoustic type sounds so this is a good tool.

And of course it depends on the availibility cash. Hope you can make it work if you want it.

Heh... yeah. Not thinking straight today. The things I see right now I want in order of priority is Ozone, BFD2 upgrade, Overloud bass amp sim, Concrete Limiter (if that's still on special). The chromaphone would just be a luxury toy really. That other stuff is crap I need for everyday use. None of it's gonna happen though.

I'm looking forward to buying Chromaphone this evening. I've been using the free Phybes plug-in for mallet sounds and it's fairly good. I expect Chromaphone will blow its doors off.

Chromaphone indeed sounds like a wonderful instrument, but I'm thinking it's something for keyboard players who play their parts live, since one of its major selling points seems to be its range of expression. As someone who can't play keyboards for toffee but manages to fudge together synth parts in the piano roll view, I'm going to give it a miss.

Yep, the Maserati deal is pretty sweet.  Haven't seen a price like that before on any of those Signature bundles.  Check plugindiscounts.com for the absolute lowest price I've seen.  Audio Deluxe ain't a bad option either.

Speaking of AD, they've got the Softube Mix Bundle for around $152 with the advertised coupon code, which is the lowest price I've ever seen for that, too.  Also the Summit Grand Channel is well under $200 for the first time that I know of.

Other than that, you may be interested in Native Instruments' 50%-off deals for such goodies as their Vintage comps and Premium Tube plugins, not to mention Kontakt 5 and lots of virtual instruments.  Fun day!

Cheers,
Eddie

Yes - I just picked up the Tony Maserati Signature Collection Bundle for $73.99 on Audio Deluxe.

I've also just noticed that Overloud Breverb 2 is just $116.45 with their current coupon 'cyber15' after signing in & adding it to your account.

...And thank you to 'benjaminfrog' for that tip. I am on Waves mailing list, but did not receive that one for some reason.

Edit: Overloud Breverb2 Bundle which includes the SpringAge together is now $141.95 after coupon, [or still $116.45 alone] - just FYI.

I mentioned this in the other thread...

If anybody is interested in Chromaphone - and is in the UK, it's cheaper to get it at the AAS site for their half price sale. It comes out to $99.50 (around £64 for me on Paypal) as opposed to £79 in the Cakewalk shop.

The Cakewalk shop £ -> $ conversion sucks for some reason.

Unless it is a budget issue, I wouldn't let Chromophone pass you by sharke. I'm not a great keyboard player myself but I'm finding that using automation with some of the various tweakable controls of Chromophone give great results.
