Hopefully someone will chime in soon. I'm interested in this interface as well.

Here is a similar tread on latency issue (are you using ASIO ?):

Yes I am using ASIO on a beat of a machine 6 core i7 64Gb Ram  SSD program Drive Western Digital Black audio drives etc but the Audiobox is unusable for vocals not matter what setting I put it on and sample buffer I use etc.

Either I am being really stupid or the box is horrid.

I use a 44 vsl and it works great. Very low latency for me. I would check the Presonus forums and make sure you have the latest drivers.

I run an Audio Box 1818 VSL with no problems.

My interface settings are:

1  Run at Startup is checked
2. ASIO Sample Rate is 44.1 khz
3. ASIO Buffer size is 256

In X2, I specify ASIO mode, and use the Audiobox 1818VSL ins and outs.

PTheory, I will momentarily send you a private message with my email and cell, so that you can call me at your convenience today.  I know it's turkey day here, but I have no problem walking you through things so please feel free to call.

Tomoxornot - When I am finished helping PTheory I would be happy to go over the Audiobox VSL 1818 with you as well.

Hi Bob, thanks! But I have no issue, at least not yet. I have not own the unit yet. I'm planning to get one in the near future.

I was just referring another thread about related issues to the OP.

Thanks again!

I too am running one with no problems. I've been very impressed with it's latency. Especially with the well-rounded set of digital fx that can be used in monitor/record situations.

I'm running at 48k
ASIO buffer set to 256

Always power up after the pc finishes booting up as Robert mentions...

Nice piece of gear... Tho I do wish their' compressor was that of the 16x4x2 instead of the 16x0x2 <sigh>... I miss the soft knee compressor stage...

Thanks Robert

I'm also running at 44.1k 24Bit with 256 Asio sample buffer but the latency is horrid.  Maybe I am used to better things?  I came from a RME PCI (not PCIe) fireface that was killer and never gave me any latency issues at all.  I was always dubious about the speeds of USB and feared latency issues and my experience 3 months later of the 1818VSL has done nothing to quash my fears and only add to my frustration. Just about the only thing I haven't replaced is the graphics card but I can't see why that would be the root cause of latency issues

And I am on the latest presonus drivers
