So, that means uninstall it completely - immdeiately? I was hoping it might just be using QT on the internet, was the caution, and that using it inside Melodyne or IK wouldn't be.

Only if you like playing Russian Roulette. 5 of the 6 chambers ARE empty, so you're pretty safe.

Of course, if you get the sixth one, you're SOL.

I'm pretty sure, the IK stuff uses(used?) it. I wonder what my options are now?
Thanks for the headsup. I suppose I should uninstall it, but I'd like to have some more info, first.

IK will need to make some changes, huh?  FWIW, I checked and the CS opens and Amplitude 4 opens, I didn't try to use them but the GUI looked right.

AFAIK, QuickTime is required only if you want to use AT4 built-in looper in standalone mode. Otherwise it may be safely uninstalled. IK may incorporate some other cross-platform libraries, like VLC and whatnot.

So, I uninstalled QT7 and am thinking I don't need to keep Apple Updater, nor Apple  Application Support, either, correct?

Correct. Nuke 'em!

And whenever the PACE desktop software updates (I don't use the dongle, just PC authorization), it (re)installs Bonjour. I uninstall it as well. Never had a problem. Bastidges. One of the worst PC viruses I ever caught was the Windows version of iTunes. That was ALMOST worse than what Symantec did to Norton Security (making it the single most annoying POS app I've ever had to deal with).

AmpliTube 4 does not require QuickTime so it is no longer an optional component during the install process.  For T-RackS, however, it is used for importing MP3 files in the standalone version so if you remove QuickTime on your Windows system you will no longer be able to do so.
