Some vocal clips somehow deleted from a track.  I went to the audio file and found the audio files I needed, but when dragging back onto a track, they won't go back to the original time stamp.  Is there a way to do this?  When I right click and select "Revert to Original Time Stamp"  the clip does not move.   
 
It works if a clip was not removed from the track view but I can't get it to work when trying to pull and audio file back in from the Audio folder.
 
In my old DAW I would just ctrl-drag and the clip would automatically go to its original position.  Is this issue fixable in SONAR X2?
 

For this to work the audio file needs to be save as a "broadcast wave". This is an option you can choose when you export the audio from Sonar. I don't think Sonar record it's audio as broadcast wave though =/

Somehow Sonar remembers the time stamp for clips that are still in the track view of the project.  I can move them then select 'revert to original time stamp'.  I guess i'll have to line them up by ear.
 
I'm wondering how these files got deleted in the first place.  I was working on a punch in at the end of the song and next time I looked at the beginning the clips were missing.  Is there some scenereo that punching in at the end of a song could delete clips on the same track elswhere in the song?

Of course there is./ you need to check your edit settings and change it to "sound on sound" or 'blend old with new". I cant remember off hand the exact wording, but someone will chime, I'm sure
