Sure cakewalk can not put all their resources for debugging and fixes, so instead of us hoping for some things to be fixed and instead of whining, i thought that we should participate in this and donate money for debugging and fixes and improvements to the existing platform that we all love.

Imagine that instead of waiting for next year or the year after we can have improvements after 6 months, or maybe after one year we will have double what we would expect. cakewalk could hire extra people for this.

It should not be conditional, cakewalk should decide on the fixes (but we can only suggest, and we shouldn't ask cakewalk later what was the outcome of this). it should be a pure "Donation".

I see that everybody would jump to upgrade 3rd party plugins that comes with sonar for more than 100$ sometimes. so i will donate 100$ and maybe there is a rich guy out there that will give a six digits.

SO if people are interested cakewalk should find a way on their online store to do so.

I do not work for cakewalk, and most of the people would say that this is Cakewalk/Roland's responsibility to improve their software but i like to give it a try.

besides if sonar got improvements then more people will be interested in it and CW will hire more permanent staff and it would be a good leap.

this is a really really bad look for cakewalk/roland; users taking part in a charity drive to get the program fixed.... I am in. *conditionally* though.

Hi jaws,
is this a really serious question of you?
I ask this cause you may  want to give Cake a push
for faster  bugfixes aso.........
Basically this is for a big business company an insult that the customer
offer donation .
So I´m not sure how Cake acts on this.
As far as I know as a newer member of this forum,Cake has
a very customer based background, would they accept donation?

I´m curious about the ongoing of your thread.
Peace
Pragi

This is a great new business model. How come nobody thought of that before?

Pay regular price for a regular update with regular bugs in it ... or donate and be saved (isn't that what various religious groups tried for several centuries??)

Anyway, if my donation is tax deductible I'm in - perfect union: going to heaven while paying lower taxes ... i'll drink to that (even though it's only noon round here!)

I apologize if i insulted anybody, it was not my intention. and i did not intend to say that CW are not doing their job; i wanted to say that i love sonar and i want it to be perfect.

I'm not saying that others are better but anything can be improved more and why i should not help.

I think CW can access my account and they can know how much i like their products to buy a lot of them.

Since my intentions are totally misunderstood, i will remove this thread by myself. i will search the otions to see how to do that

This is serious ???

Karl, you do mean senior posters as against elder citizens (there would be an emoticon here but posting on an iPad from China doesn't do it. Its the one were the face is grey and the tongue is out !)

Cheers,
Jerry
