Ted . . . you're making far too much sense for a thread like this.

Cakewalk already has plenty of resources, and I find this idea of donations ridiculous. The problem I see is the new approach of focusing first and foremost on marketing and add-ons and not devoting adequate time to implementing new or reworked features. Throwing more money at the problem will not help - Cakewalk needs to care about fixes first, and they are not likely to when they are selling add-ons and plugins by the dozen and many customers just need a digital tape deck to record their guitar or what not (nothing wrong with that) and don't encounter broken features. Businesses are about money - especially when they get too big. All that said, all DAW applications have problems and Cakewalk is by no means the worst one out there about leaving old bugs in place.

I'm using it in the context of the schoolboy who uses "the older boys made me do it" as an excuse. So yes the senior schoolboys posters. I'm nearly one myself now though.

Pfft.... you were assimilated a while back mate.

I now think of you as a kindly prefect

You have GOT to be kidding with this post right? With all my love and patience in the world for the Bakers, I still expect to get what I bought - otherwise they can give me shares in the business and I'll happily invest in the R&D.

It's like handing the dealer a bunch of cash after you already paid for the car. No thanks, I will hold on to my money and continue using the included warranty.

Actually, it's like handing the dealer a wad of cash, after you already purchased the lemon, to guarantee that the damn thing starts-up every day.

Does that mean I can no longer be rude to the head boy?

I was rude to the head boy once.

He was giving us a lecture about our appalling behaviour in the fourth form Coffee House common room.

I told him he was just an awful tofee-nosed rotter who spends too much time in the headmaster's office sucking up to sir.

At least I think that's what Bapsington minor said he does in there.

Awfully brave of you. I once questioned his "wisdom" and have been on the "litter picking" duty list ever since. I do like it there though.
