  • [SOLVED] Errors on starting new project - console emulator (channel) missing?

When I open a brand new project with a template involving console emulation, say like this:

I get this error:

If I click 'ok' and look at the ProChannel the emulator module appears but it is blank.  If I attempt to put it in on a channel only a Bus option is available, i.e:

Does anyone else have this problem?  I installed X2 as instructed, with no hitches, but something is obviously wrong here.  The Help file says there are two versions of the Emulator, channel and bus, but somehow I only have the bus part installed.

Perhaps the X2 update patch just released may fix this. Have you tried that?

Yes, I applied that.
Can someone confirm to me that I should be able have both a channel and a bus console emulator?  I don't see why there should be two types, but the errors I'm getting and the Help file indicate there are.

As per your thread update, it is apparent that your install was not 100%. You should have both the bus and channel installed. This is why the template isn't working.

Yes this was resolved. Skyline sent me a snapshot of his registry and I was able to see what was going wrong.
Please refer to this thread and the linked knowledgebase article for the solution.

2. pasted in on d drive (u can paste in any or your vstplugin directory)
3. I added path d: console emulator to vst setting in prefrenses
4. ran vstscan....and violla!!! ce chanel appeared when I opened the template
