I like this a lot , so much I even download it .
it does sound great the way it is …and after putting it through  Mixbux it sounds even better to me at least

jude77-Thanks a lot. What I meant was just about everything is a first take (solo and vocals were redone). Apparently Robert Stigwood was so tight with money that he rushed Cream through their recording sessions so he wouldn't have to pay for the extra studio time. Imagine what those records could have sounded like had they been allowed to do take a little more time on them.

Nice! I saw that documentary listen on Netflix but haven't checked it out yet.

You could dirty up the guitars as suggested but I think I like them as they are.  Adds a nice contrast when the solo comes in. Nicely balanced and a lot of fun.

That was a good doc if you are talking about "Beware of Mr. Baker." Good version of the song.  I had never really listened to the lyrics - they are a hoot.  "Buy me a bulldog to watch my woman while I sleep." Damn near perfect blues.  I would have liked the guitars dirtier, too.  But maybe that is just the dust I've always heard in the grooves of the vinyl.  Anyway, hoot of a song.

This is a great song by a great band.  You did it proud.  You don't have to be Jack Bruce to get this story across.  I like the guitars the way they are, and it all blends together very well.  Kudos
