Hey

So I messed up. In a project file I was working on I deleted a take lane for a midi track. Not realizing I had deleted the wrong one I closed the project. Reopen it later in the day and I notice I'm missing a portion of the track.

I know audio files are stored in the project folder. Anyone know where the midi files are stored? Or am I out of luck at this point?

Thanks

Ouch. MIDI is embedded in the project file. If it's deleted, it's gone unless you have an older version that includes it.

Thanks for the info. As crappy as it is.

I think I have revisions automatically saved. It will take some work to combine it with what we did after, but if it works. WOW.

thanks

Brundlefly is wright on. I would add this because MIDI files or data is insignificant as far as storage is concerned its held within a project fully. In future one can export the MIDI data into a standard type 1 MIDI file and one could store this in a separate folder called MIDI Files just in case something untoward happens.

Plus you will have this MIDI data for other projects.

Did you have autosave turned on? If so, look for the autosave file.
