Strange, it seemed quite close to the Fostex D90 manual as well!

I think that there is not a lot of people using PRV, which is why this tool is not properly developed.

Wow....  what to say to that...

PS... I've been using the PRV *a lot* since SONAR v2, does that count?

No it doesn't. You've actually opened it to be a little larger than a two inch strip so you can see all of it. It appears to work then but try working with it barely open and it's a different story apparently.

You are just cheating.

There is something very odd here.

In another Troll-like thread the OP claims to have been with Sonar since version 5, and to have had Sonar 8, which begs two questions:-

1.  How can you use a program for so long and yet appear to know so little about how it works?

2.  If it really is that terrible, why keep coming back?

Several people have posted on how to solve the few problems that he has been able to actually describe (user errors) and he completely ignores them.

I bet Customer Support love it when he rings.  Having ranted incoherently at them for ten minutes, as they calmly answer how to sort his issues, I bet he sits there going "LA LA LA LA" loudly with his fingers in his ears.

As my brother would say, all his problems are PEBKAC errors, or ID 10T errors.

And then add "RTFM".

Yes, Karl, yes I am.   Because working with SONAR is a PICNIC.

Just one more thing, he says in his best Columbo voice, the OP's comment that - "I think that there is not a lot of people using PRV, which is why this tool is not properly developed."

Perhaps he thinks we all use Sonar's fully developed Staff View, instead..

I'm guessing he reads the forums like he does the manuals - with his eyes closed.

And his comment - "yes, I think now they (Cakewalk) take us for idiots. "  Well, not all of us..

oh come on, we can be nice, can't we?  even if someone else is impetuous and demanding, doesn't mean we have to be does it?? remember being a newbie and having all these hopes and dreams and aspirations and expecting everything to be a piece of cake and finding out the hard way that, yes, there is a learning curve... sometimes very STEEP!!!??? i remember routing moog patch cables for hours to be able to do what i can do in 20 min now.  there weren't online forums like this available - maybe a couple of gopher sites, but still, just because someone else is frustrated we can say, "hey, we were frustrated too but this is what i know..." and if they don't take it then they will fall off but I for one know that frustration all too well, esp when I was schooled big time by john cage in a seminar and i showed my frustration. john was the epitome of the zen detatchment though, and didn't let MY attitude become HIS. this is a trait i'm learning all too well in my aged years. ;)
