Hi, I'm getting a "Microsoft Visual C++" error message and Sonar X2 is crashing whenever I try and load up older projects recorded in X1. I have tried loading up in safe mode and this did not solve the problem. The error referred to "Synth rack" as being where the issue was.
Any ideas please?

Can you please provide the message detail, as well as your system specs? (most folks add their system specs hardware/software, to their forum profile's signature).

There are some tech types in this community who can probably assist with this,

I had this initially after I upgraded from 8.5 to X2.  The solution?  Uninstalled everything, including a trip through regedit, and then resinstalled a fresh X2, plus the patch.  Since then I haven't had any issues loading legacy projects.

Thanks Bob,
I've included my spec in my profile now. But, here it is. Let me know if I need to do anything else. New to forums in general so please forgive my lack of understanding how to use them properly!

What Operating System are you on?

You probably have an old version of the C++ Runtime Library. You may have installed another application that installed an older version. Get the most current version from the Microsoft site. http://www.microsoft.com/...d/details.aspx?id=5555

I'm using Windows 7. I also just tried loading up the same project using Sonar X1 and the same thing happened,so I'm not too sure it's a migration issue...

Thanks Dave. I tried this already. I have the 2012 update and that hasn't fixed it.
