This one took a while to work out.  I put the song together with MIDI sequenced drums, which really helped nail the bass and guitar parts but then had a hell of a time executing the drums for real.  I ended up recording the kick separately to get it tight enough.  There are still portions of the MIDI snare and kick in there too, but the cymbal tracks were eliminated because generally sampled cymbals suck compared to the real thing.

I like it!   Cool groove with a great feel... of course the bass has a lot to do with that IMO.  
 
All you need now is some melodies/solos riding over top.
 

LOVE dat slappy bass sound! Definitely something I can listen to. I think overall it has something of a spy mood to it. really really cool sounds!

I'm more of a rhythm player, can't you tell :)  Melody and particularly lyrics have always been a tough part for me, so I try to get grooves down that are strong enough to hopefully be reasonably interesting.

Well... I can sort of hear a synth solo during a section or two.    If you're interested I could give it a shot if you have a wave or MP3.    No guarantee of the result, of course.     
 

This would be a cool bed for a movie scene. Great playing.

Thanks Peeps!  Anyone have any experience with submitting their stuff for licensing in production work?  One of my previous bands had some stuff picked up and played on TV, typically home and garden, learning channel and stuff.  It was pretty cool to be watching a show and hear your music pop up in the background.  Made a few royalty bucks, nothing much but anything greater than $0 will pay my overhead.
