I have loaded X2 In and all Is ok
I have had two bluescreens now .

Both were to do with minidump with a load of numbers.

I have now connected my music comuter to the internet just to get the latest updates for 64bit.

I seem to have 15 problems with  my computer ,but when I get windows to check ,It always says try later!!!

I had a message that a driver was missing for my WD Passport UsB drive  and I did load that In .

Can anybody tell me what Digital Workstation Is

It has now appeared In my Other devices column In Device manager

I try to get a driver for It and again It says tht there Is no driver found for It.
I am puzzled to what that Is

If I delete digital workstation ,It appears In the same place on next boot up.

I am trying to get my machine stable and there seems to be some gremlins In there.

Does anyone know what I am going on about?????

All the Best

Run scandisk on your hard drive.
Run windows update.
Update all your drivers (including your motherboard chipset) and firmware and BIOS.
Run sfc /scannow from the comment prompt (google for more info).

Please update your footer so we know what you are running (have a look at mine), be specific.

Thanks,,,,

Blue Screens are always caused by these 2 things:
1. Hardware
2. Drivers

So:
1. Make sure all your hardware that is in your PC and connected to your PC is up to date and compatable with your system
2. Make sure all your drivers are up to date and compatible with your system

I have windows 7  64 bit
Running on I7 computer.
I have updated everything I can and drivers
I have not looked at the chipset drivers firmware and bios .
Not sure about doing that!!!
So far things are looking good as I have left the comuter loaded up with a few things .
last time It went down I did nothing and suddenly after half hour It went blue screen
I have looked at a program called XT Styleworks which I use to extract parts of a midi file to make backgrounds or styles for my Tyros 4
That did have a compatibility problem
I ran compatibility mode and run as administrator and It looks good so far
Have I got to have a special program to look at the chipset, firmware, bios etc

Windows 7 does have a built-in memory test. I would run that.

As you can see with my footer my machine is from Dell so I can go to them for BIOS and chipset driver updates. If your motherboard is Intel (looks like it is) you can also go to their site for motherboard chipset drivers providing you know what your motherboard is.
