Hi,guys, Hope you can track this one down. I just loaded X2 on my laptop yesterday. Everything is running fine with my interface. I have an M-Audio Keystation 88 Pro I have used for years with my desktop rig with no problems. You don't have to load any software. As soon as you plug it in the computer sees the device and off you go. My problem with the laptop is the computer sees the unit and it is powering the M-Audio on the USB port but I am not getting any midi passing from the USB port into X2. I have absolutely no problem with it working on the desktop. Just plug and play. This one has me scratching my head. I have checked to make sure the tracks are on the right channel and the driver is showing on the input and output of the MIDI control list. Any help out there. It just is strange that it works great on the desktop but not the laptop. Any help would be appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is to make sure that the drivers are selected not just showing up in preference.

Thanks, Rabeach. The drivers were selected. I finally tracked the problem down. This laptop has three USB ports. I was using one for the Keystation, one for the Saffire, and one for the Toshiba external drive. It seems that everything is fine when the Saffire and the keystation is plugged in. If you plug up the external drive everything goes haywire. I guess it's time to invest in a new USB hub. I think that will solve the problem. BTW, I was running the laptop, the Keystation, and the Saffire all off of the laptop battery and the battery powered it all for about 2 hours. That's steady recording and playing back, switching instruments, midi controller data, etc. I thought that was pretty good. If I ever go to the middle of the desert or a rainforest to work, I'll be set! LOL!
