I updated and now I have no desktop icon to launch it. The update deleted the old one but didn't leave me with a new one. 

It will still be on your Start Menu Sky...you can create a new shortcut
for your desktop by clicking on the Desktop and New and then Create Shortcut
and then navigating to where the program is installed if that's how you like to
have it...or you can just pin it to the Taskbar...

I don't want any shortcuts on my Desktop...each one takes 766 Kilobytes of memory
to "Load" on the desktop, which, IMO, is a waste of RAM...so I keep my Desktop
clear and use the Start Menu...YMMV

Probably so. I recently inquired at everyplugin about a quote for re-wuping and was told there's going to be a new WUP promo coming later this week so to wait until then.

Does everyplugin sell WUP?  I know wavesuniverse does.  I'm not sure I could afford it anyway.

Thanks cclarry for the information. I unfortunately didn't get to it in time. I plan to give the new download a go.
 
I dread IK more. Every time I think I've cleared things up with them I get the dreaded message that I need to register. I must have registered 5 times and I STILL get the messages. 
 
Waves has been good about not loading ghost programs I didn't buy into my vst folder. You know, the ones that blast noise at you if you  load one :)
