The Artist mix works but the the Artist MC Control is the problem child that does not keep touch screen busses selected. I did use the VS 700 system at one time ,however the limited IO and form fo true expansion given the bandwidth on the USB2 and the limited sample rate with the ADAT Optical outputs. I had to have the USB inputs replaced on both V studio 700c and V studio R ,because they became loose and unreliable. finally they stopped working all together and I switched to RME UFX and the Artist controls. I also own Cubase 6.5 and Protools ten and no issues with the Avid artist series controller on those plat forms or in fact no issues with UAD quad card. The only reason I bought X2 is that I have used it as my main DAW since version 7. The issues of bad coding seem to multiply with every new issue. i really thing it is time certain people choose another career path before the brand reputation goes too far south to save. Look at Avid ,****ty service, still 32 bit,0 customer service without paying extra money , but usually stable and it still remains arguably the most used DAW. Functionality, stability and honesty are needed commodities, not new bells and whistles . I don't understand why this concept is so difficult for cakewalk to grasp. This Daw Should not be treated as a toy any more but a professional audio recording and production tool. When this tool fails users loose money and client respect. Get with it Cakewalk!
