Basically if you like X1 demo you're gonna love X2 end of. If you've already got X1 there's hardly any point in looking at the demo's, look at the vids then buy it.

Personally I don't see any point in demo's when you've got videos, why waste your time when somebody can demo it for you. But I agree X2 needs a demo and I'm sure Cake will do it one day.

Trial versions of software usually appear when the company are very confident in turning demos into purchases. That's why x2 demo doesn't exist. :)
Diva softsynth is a very good example of A company completely confident in their product. It is just so good that anyone who downloads a demo will probably end up buying it within a few hoirs. Sonar usually do le versions bundled with soundcards etc, but I don't think they are confident to do that yet with x2 for obvious reasons.

Download diva though, it is truly a game changer as they claim it to be. By far the best piece of musical software I have encountered in the last 10 years.

funny you mention Diva.. that and a DAW are not like for like.... also , u-he put out their demo far too earlier IMHO.. you say why ? because if you use / know about diva... they have soon released 1 that is 40% better on CPU load.. so it's better to put the 2nd version of that out surely as some folk who don't have the cpu power. might get v1 of their demo and go "oh pc can't deal with it".. and have not such a great impression of their synth

( hopefully they have a sale on for xmas)

i'd like to try the demo to see if issues i had with x1 are resolved, before i part with money on a not-for-resale app

yer well wait then , you've been around long enough to know they don't just rush a demo out the door so soon.
