The step sequencer is part of Sonar not Session Drummer.

You'll find it under the views menu, Alt + 4 if my memory is correct. I'm not in front of Sonar ATM.

It sounds like you're looking for the button in the upper-right corner of the SD3 window, correct?

If so, it's still there, but it's different now. It's located to the right of the ACT Learn button and to the left of the S (Solo) button.

You can choose a default editor for MIDI track of the synth by clicking and holding the left mouse button over the button. Then just click the button to launch the selected editor.

Sorry it took so long to get back...work has been deadly & not in a good way.
Anyways, I looked into it last night and the button your talking about Scott, takes me to a PRV screen. I hope thats not the only way now for me to make my owe drum clips. Was so much easier and flexable to use the step writer for ghost notes and vol. if it is the only way now, then I guess my learning curve just got a little longer.
Thanks again.
Kev.

what probably happened was piano roll view got set as the default for the clip.  there is a small icon in the top-right of every clip. click on it for the clip you'r e editing and from the drop down select step sequencer.  then double click the clip or open sd3 and try the button again.  that should work. and as scott said click the ss button but hold it and a list of editors will come up in the synth. pick ss
