  • Double click a MIDI clip to open it, track view jumps to play head

Is this supposed to happen? It's very annoying. If you right click on a clip and open it in the PRV via the "view" menu, the track view stays where it is. If you open it in the PRV (or any view) by double clicking it, the track view jumps to wherever the play head is.

Couple of options.... either double click in the top half of the clip (if minimised) or header if expanded.

If you uncheck TV menu--->Options--->Click Behaviour---->Left click sets now it won't happen no matter where you click.

That is exactly where I click on clips to open them in the PRV, and it still takes me to the play head.

Not sure I explained the problem correctly. Let's say the play head is at measure 50. I double click on a MIDI clip that's at measure 0. The PRV opens in the correct place...BUT...the clips pane jumps to measure 50.

Not sure what's going on there then, I'm not seeing that. If I click in the header/top half the now time stays where it was. Bottom half/clip body it moves. Strange.

Im not seeing that either.
i did read your other thread,it seems like your having some issues.
im sorry to hear about that.
id love to help as much as i can but i wont even try untill you fill out your signiture or tell us some specs on your machine.

you would really benefit from this right now.
if your problems are as bad as you say,you should be laying out your specs for everyone to see.
that way someone might see something and picki something out to help out a little bit.

^^^ This!

There should be a sticky advising all members to put their entire spec in their signature

This is the 3rd thread in the space of 20 minutes where this information would have helped diagnose a problem

I've added a signature to my account, not seeing it in my posts though. Perhaps it takes a while to settle in the system?

EDIT: Oh wait, there it is, lol.

Do you have click behavior set to "Left Click Sets Now"? Because if you uncheck that, you may see the behavior I described. If I check that option, the behavior is as you describe, i.e. different according to whether you click the clip in the clip header or body. If this isn't a bug, I'm not sure about the logic behind such behavior, although I'm definitely open to suggestions!

I normally have "left click sets now checked" but if I don't, the now time doesn't move no matter where I click which is how it's supposed to work AFAIK.

I really haven't got a clue why you're seeing different. Is it all projects or just one?
