  • Why don't automation nodes follow snap settings?

Am I missing something here?

Sometimes I need to insert nodes exactly on the beat. For instance I have an instance of Guitar Rig with multiple step sequencers containing different patterns, and I need to be able to turn them on and off individually through automation at very accurate locations. The trouble is that it's possible to insert a node slightly in front of or behind the beat, and I'm not getting the automation performance that I require because of this. The vertical guide snaps into place as I'm moving the cursor, but the nodes that I place don't. Is there any way to draw automation lines that follow snap settings?

Initially, they'll be placed wherever you click, but if you then drag the node it will snap.

also, if you select a range it will snap, then as nodes by moving mouse in tOP half of wave form. click and drag.  this adds nodes, two on either end of the range

This sounds very useful but I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean....PS I'm working in lanes if that's relevant.

it works in lanes. select the lane. select a range on the time ruler. then Hoover mouse in tOP half of lane. pointer changes. click and drag up or down it creates nodes at selection points and makes notching easy.
