Wow,the 5m Diamond is only $1450.......I'd love to know how much they'd be in Australia? 2K easy.

I remember an article in a music mag years back that had a shootout between Monster cable and Hosa (and other brands).  Turned out that Hosa (and many other inexpensive) cables were just as good as the rest in terms of their measurements.  As long as you are not buying cables from the dollar store, you should be ok. 

I'm NOT saying that all cables are the same, but there are great brands out there that are 1/3 of the cost of essentially the same thing from another brand. 

It's like I swear my Behringer XM1800S dynamic mic[all 3 0f em!] sounds better than my SM58[which is pretty old],but my rich buddies,laugh,and laugh.

Moral of the story... as amarican auto and oil companies have learned... put any price you want on it and someone will buy it. Make it the only price and everyone will buy it.

Why in the world would you pay $20K-$60K for a machine to ride back an d forth to work in everyday? To impress your friends? These things aren't worth that much. And the result is the CEOs and corporate bigwigs are making record profits, wages, bonuses, and pentions like never before.... at the same time they lay off workers because their profit fell a notch last Q. The $ gap between the top dogs and workers is at an all tme high. And as long as Americans let them, all these figures will increase.

WOW! And for $40 you get 3 mics with switches and a handy padded carry case. I'm sold.

Years ago I paid $40 for 1 RadioShack mic sm58 copy that was actually made by Shure. It sounded good too.

quite funny where a simple question about belief in cables goes if you let it loose ...
