For a riser FX, you can use some sort of Doppler/panning effect and Stereo Widner FX. When something rises, the stereo image should get smaller the further away it goes, so you can automate the stereo width to make it go from wide to narrow. Doing this, along with a Doppler/panning effect, you can make it happen.

For the swoosh you can use some sort of Flanger and Chorus


To dial in the right settings for these effects, just use your ears to fine tune it

The easiest way to do this is using a synthesizer that has white noise as a waveform option. Set the resonance to medium/high. Start your cutoff low, and gradually raise it to create the "rising" effect. Play with the resonance to get different sounding tones.

  Easiest way is to record white/pink noise as a waveform, normalize and then use volume automation, some chorus/flanger/reverb and eq automation, that makes it very easy to just add a clip, set the length of the clip to how long you want it and add volume automation rising until the crescendo. 

Just record 8 bars of white/pink noise and set the clip length as needed, it takes way to much effort to adjust the adsr of a synth to match the length you need every time.

in the encanti edm expansion for rapture, take a look at any of the uplifter patches under the synthesis & fx tree. you can see several examples there. if you want to change how fast/slowly the envelopes change over time in rapture, you can turn sync on in the eg modulators then midi control the sync time of the eg by shift+right clicking the sync field and chosing a cc number then adding control changes in the midi clip to trigger diff sync rates.  you can also do that with the step generator. one of my fave tricks is adding a cc mapping to the steps field in the step generator and then changing that over time so that there is variation in voices.  here's a simple example with noise and two additional voices for depth https://skydrive.live.com...d=5DBE71A770FCC390!296  it's called simply riser001.  z3ta+ and +2 are the same concept. there is a patch for them also in the skydrive folder called whoosh riser.   


these are both 8-bar risers.  in rapture, the thing you need to remember about any of the sync values is that if you have sync set to 1 that doesn't mean 1 bar (like in massive for example), it means one beat.  32 is 8 bars in 4/4 time.  1/8 is 32nd note, 1/4 is 16th note and 1/2 is 1/8th note.
