yeah i kind expected this, im a reason user too, at the rate they are going with this RE thing, im kinda inclined to upgrade to 6.5, i mean the thought of maybe massive, sylenth, z3ta + 2 all in the one combinator makes me drool

fwiw, i would rather cakewalk focussed on their flagship daw, then this kind of thing, else sonar will end up "jack of all master of none" :S

it's extra cash in the "dev" pot...if they can recycle the code again with not more effort.. I'm sure propellerheads looked at the vst sdk and designed their stuff , so the transition wasn't that painful.

you might as well say to make zeta+2 etc sonar only also ;-) not gonna happen.

besides you dunno if they got in extra staff specifically to deal with that.

Disagree

This didn't take a lot of effort or resources by anyone at Cake - it's a quick & easy way to earn more income - and that can only be good for all of us

Also, it gets the Cakewalk brand name known: entirely possible that Reason users will then buy SONAR as a Rewire host as a result.

probably not as you will see some die-hard reason users use nothing BUT reason..

I bet the percentages for folk who re-wire are far higher with logic / ableton / cubase .. as a lot seem to take that route..

rewire implementation is "ok" in sonar, but in other things I use it's better
