I agree that the stand alone version should support arbitrary bit depths. That version is managed by Roland's team so we don't really know what their update schedule is. The plugin version has several changes that make make it adapt better to a DAW environment.

Thanks for the Blog Noel.  Very interesting and I now have a much better idea of how R-Mix can be useful.  Still a bit advanced for me, but very educational!

Glad you found it useful. To clarify, for normal use when you have a single voice that you want to modify in a mix, its actually very easy to use Rmix. All you do is pick a shape elliptical or rectangular) and use that to isolate the voice. Then you use the 2 sliders to boost that voice alone or the "outside". And then the pan to place the voice in the stereo image.


The case where it gets a bit more tricky is when you want to handle multiple voices in the same mix independently (as was the case here) Then you have to have a bunch of Rmix instances in series with each independently manipulating a voice. With that power comes some complexity.
