For some reason, in my most recent X2 project, I cannot change the output of an audio track. I can change the inputs, but not the output; no drop-down appears when I click on the output control.

I have to close Sonar and then re-open the project in order to change outputs.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a workaround, aside from restarting Sonar?

I get weird inconsistencies throughout when ProChannel modules are enabled in my buss and master outputs.
Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit X2?

Does the behavior change if you toggle Allow Arm Changes During Playback/Record in preferences?

I'm using 64-bit X2. I've got the latest drivers.

This is the first time I've had this bug, so maybe it's just a one-time glitch (which seems pretty common in X2).

Well try toggling Allow Arm Changes During Playback/Record in preferences next time. I know it may seem unrelated but try it.

I really have no idea of what might cause that behavior, but have an idea for a work-around.

Insert a new audio track, and then copy all of the audio clips from the oddly behaving one to the new track.  I am certainly not at all sure about that fixing anything, but it seems like it might circumvent whatever brain fart the original track is having.  It is such an easy and quick thing to try - give it a shot and post back.

You can tell Sonar to skip the copy of imported files by removing the check from the box in Preferences>File>Audio Data that reads "Always Copy Imported Audio Files".

I still, however, recommend picking up an additional drive and keeping everything in an uncompressed format, such as .wav.  Any other course of action will degrade your sound quality.
