I have also Requested this feature via
http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/FeatureRequest.aspx Sonar Producer 8.5 would be much easier to use if it had the ability to change the numbers or "move" the time ruler around so that it matches the beginning of a clip.
To be able to change the position of the Time ruler to where ever you need it would be a big plus!
With recording clips outside of my studio and bringing them back to use them.....The downbeat doesn't always start at measure 1.. even if you cut out the silence out of a clip.. it still does not match up. If you cut out too much, then the music does not sound right.. It would be just so much easier to move measure 1 where you would like it to start. The negative measures is something interesting in this thread and would be also nice.
