Try putting them in separate folders. Like "Main Prog" folder > 64.dll > "32bit folder" > 32.dll

Cause its scanned before the x64 dll is scanned. As both dlls share the same VST-ID, the first scanned dll with this ID is instantiated.

Thanks Bob,

I am working with Omniphere and when I installed the program I really thought I loaded the 64 bit version, so I can't figure out why Sonar X2 is saying it is loading a 32 bit. I only show one .dll file for Omnisphere.  Am I missing something here?

This has an ongoing nightmare for me.  I tried to set the search order in plug in manager but am not sure this is working right today.

Ok, but you are certain it gave you the option and deciphered between a 32 and a 64 bit version during installation right? If not, you definitely need to download updates from their page. Even if it did give you options and you clearly remember get the updates anyway and see what happens.

Also, UAC comes to mind as well (ironically, talking about how I dislike it in the other thread lol)
If you installed it not as an admin, it could present issues.

EDIT: Ahhh, some programs will set an automatic path for the 64bit dll somewhere other than what you specified for the 32bit. My bet is on that as the issue. Scan your comp for the dll and it'll probably show up in two different locations.

You can't. Sonar sorts the folders...

Again, my tool solves such issues:  http://www.familiekraft.de/PluginManager
