It has been a while since I have posted on the forum as I have been undergoing some medical treatments.  I have a couple of weeks respite until my next (and hopefully final) treatment begins.  So, I am taking the opportunity to check out the forum and post a song.  Oh yes and I must apologize to anyone, if I did not respond to my last song posting (I got side tracked by the above).

A while ago I became enamored with fedora hats.  I guess I was watching too many film noir flicks.  So, I thought that I should write a silly little number in respect of my favourite chapeau.  I tried to do it in a wee bit of a Jump Blues style and was going to add some horns.  But I didn't.  I thought that the horn parts could be done by vocals  -- you know, like they used to do in DoWop songs.  I'm not sure that it worked but hopefully it got close to palatable.

I hope you get a giggle from this one and as always comments, suggestions, crit.'s, etc. are appreciated.

I cant remember the last time I felt fur... If I could improve this, I would help the drums pop a bit more, it seems to need that. Most everything else is right where it needs to be  That snare needs to crack buddy.

The Maillard Reaction
I like the song. It seems fun.

If I had a chance to mix it I'd pump up the piano and slide the drums back towards the back line.

I like the backing vocals a lot. Not sure what to make of the guitar.

Hope you continue to feel better!!!

Nice little snappy tune there Freddy. I had a fedora like that a while back in my Indiana Jones days, but I think I lost it on one of my adventures. The song sounds good and fits your kind of music style which brings us all back in the days gone bye. Very nicely done and I can appreciate it.

Peace and Blessings, John

Hey Freddie- nice boppin' song!

I might suggest bringing the drums in harder on this - make that snare pop - right now it just kind of flops.  I'd also suggest less reverb on the vocals.  they sound like they're completely different space than everything else.

nice work, tho!

Hi Freddy, fun tune. Maybe a bit to much (long)  delay on the guitar ?

Fun tune!

+1 to the above though - for me the vocals and guitar both have a bit too much delay/reverb.   Raising the pitch on the snare a little might be cool too.
