Hey Robby it all sounds great!   Your son puts down some great vocals ---- just like the old man.  What a great moment to be able to share together!!!

I remixed it using some of the new mid/side trickery I am attempting to learn/master?

Here's a pic of the sexy wav?

That photo gives me stiff nipples...

And there's a new version of the tune up? Basically I changed everything? I set Ozone to M/S? And did some EQ, some MB Compression?  Some Excitation (she's given me good vibrations?) I tried to add some punch to the drums? (and bass) The drums feel a little off in places? It's because I couldn't build a tempo map? So the whole song is basically a live performance? Because I couldn't lock it to anything. I hope I didn't screw it up. If I did, I can recover the last mix. Please be honest, I would rather here truthful harsh crits if they are warranted. I'm not the best mixer, but I am trying to get better at it!

I'm also trying a new plug in the master chain (on the cheap) from Brainworx? It's called Brainworx control. It helps with all of that mid/side voodoo... I'm still learning about it all? So again, things "may" need improvement? I'm really trying to learn about the mixing aspect. I think I have it at least close (hoping I do)

My goal is to make the mix wide and PHAT! With everything sitting "where it should?" And things playing nicely together? It's what we all strive for...

Some folks here are just so darn good at it (They are evil and they must be destroyed. I suspect some sort of a contract with "you know who?")

Nice job on this song.  Overall production and mix is good.  Your son did a nice job singing the song, I hear dad on the BGV too;)  Nice you have a common interest that can produce a memory you can listen to anytime....
 Regards

Mr. No999, indeed :-) I asked him what he wants to do next and he said "I don't know" He doesn't understand that his input is like 2%? :-) But I asked him to think about it. I definitely did all of the BGV. I had to cup some things tightly to sing that high?

I am REALLY hoping I didn't screw it up, I'm not comfortable with this whole M/S technique? And this is my 1st try at it. If it's "Richarded up" in any way, I hope one of the mix masters speaks up.

Good mix there my friend. Your son's singing over is very impressive. Few wobble moments. but very well done. I can see why you are very proud :)

There is no greater learning experience than to have a teacher that gives their all to the student. I thought the vocal had something really special to it. There is great singer coming on there. Very well done.

I appreciate that. I'm hopeful that he says interested, it's difficult in today's society for a young boy with all of the distractions. And let's face it? This stuff takes WORK! :-) I have him thinking about what to try next

That's not fair that he gets to start so young with so much talent already in his genes!  :)
This is great!  I can imagine what fun it must have been to do this together.  :)  Way to go!
